“We were not bound by unity. We were bound by what we swore never to become again.”
— The Accord of Ash and Blood

The Birth of Hasgram

Hasgram was not born in glory.

It rose from ash and fear, in the wake of the Demon War, when the fortress of Al’thurak had fallen, and the cults of the Black Dawn scattered like embers on the wind. In that moment of silence, when the world no longer screamed but still did not sing, twelve Orcish factions gathered to decide their future.

What they forged was not a kingdom. It was not an empire.

It was a pact.

A nation built upon oaths—binding, eternal, and blood-etched. Not one people, but many. Not one mind, but many hands, united by the fear of returning to the chains they had only just shattered.

The result was Hasgram—a nation whose name means “the wound that watches.”

Structure and Governance

Hasgram is governed by a triarchic system that balances military strength, civil leadership, and visionary oversight. The Office of the Warmaster commands Hasgram’s armed forces, defending its people with disciplined might. The Office of the Highlord oversees diplomacy, infrastructure, and law, guiding the nation’s growth with strategic governance. The Guild of Seers, born from the War of False Dawn, regulates prophecy, memory, and sacred rites—ensuring that the lessons of history are not forgotten nor repeated. Together, these three branches uphold the Doctrine of Measured Flame, preserving Hasgram’s unity through vigilance, restraint, and shared purpose.

Every citizen is a reservist, trained not only in survival, but in stewardship.

To break an oath in Hasgram is to become unbound—cast out, marked, and watched.

Geography and Symbolism

Hasgram lies in Central Destgrar, cradled by the continent’s ancient bones. Its capital is built into the Hollowed Hills, where once the demon lords had erected their black spires. Now, black stone walls bear the banners of unity, their scars not hidden, but exalted.

The earth remains dark. The sky pale. But within the walls, the flame of order endures.

Legacy of the Demon War

Hasgram’s founding is its warning.

Where others teach history, Hasgram remembers.

Where others worship, Hasgram regulates.

Where others forget, Hasgram seals.

This nation does not celebrate its survival. It endures because it remembers why it nearly perished.

The demons are gone. But oathbreakers still rise.

“We do not raise towers to touch the sky. We build foundations deep enough to hold against it when it falls.”
— Highlord Thalrish Kal-Hasgar
